What will be the role of the remaining Republicans in the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives now that Democrats control the whole shebang? There is a lot of discussion on this topic taking place, and a tug-o-war taking place between the GOP leadership and many of the remaining elected Republicans. I can't know how this will turn out, but, some options appear clearer than others.

I can't offer any insights or solutions to the financial, so called, crisis. I am too young and undereducated being just out of High School. I did take an economics course. That doesn't qualify me to offer a knowlegable opinion on what has taken place these last 9 days or so in Congress. I am however, a newly registered voter who is watching the news and reading the blogs. I am not impressed. In fact, I am angry!

I just finished watching Sarah Palin's speech at the Republican National Convention. She has renewed my interest in a race that had me jaded for the past several months.
I am a new voter having turned 18 this year. I choose to be a Republican because America needs Republicans. Without Republicans, America would be a one party government which is a mere hop skip and jump from being an authoritarian government authored by Democrats. What does a new Republican voter in this year make of this election? It's a real eye opener for me.
