Sen. Ted Stevens Spells Hope!

When the electorate, predominantly Republican, will elect a Democrat, rather than their convicted felon incumbent Sen. Ted Stevens, there is hope and reason to work within the Vote Out Incumbents Democracy movement and organization. Congratulations Alaska, on narrowly doing the right thing. We empathize with the only other choice being a Democrat.

Okay, Americans in the lower 48 and Hawaii. It's our turn to do the right thing and vote out our own politicians who are inept, corrupt, or just plain ineffective in solving the problems we and our nation, are faced with.

We have 2 years, to learn how our incumbent politicians are serving our interests, if at all. We have two years to prepare ourself to vote differently than we ever have before: not for a party's candidate, but, on the merits or demerits of our representative's contributions to solutions.

Remember, the political parties have but one master; acquiring and keeping power. If we want solutions to our national problems, we have to vote against incompetence and party loyalists, and vote for individuals who are committed to solutions, not party politics.

If enough of us vote in this manner, the political parties will yield to their rightful master, the voters, and our demand for solutions. If we kick enough incumbents out of office, Democrat and Republican, both parties will compete for our support with real solutions, instead of lies, mudslinging, and propaganda. It is up to us to follow Alaska's lead in voting out their corrupt incumbent. And make no mistake, the political parties work feverishly to corrupt every freshman coming into federal office. That is how they work.

It is up to us to insure the freshman politicians they have no political future in office without putting our demand for solutions ahead of party politics and party twisting. It is us they work for, not their political party. That is the message we must communicate with our vote.
